Salesforce automation your team can build without code.
Edge Connect is an automation app for Salesforce teams. Describe what should happen in plain English, Copilot builds the flow, and you test it before it goes live. Install it from AppExchange and launch it right from Salesforce.
The problem
Sound familiar?
Your team retypes the same data every week.
A deal closes in Salesforce, and someone copies it into QuickBooks, then posts the news in Slack. By hand, every time.
Every new tool means weeks in the dev queue.
Connecting one more system turns into a developer ticket, and the ticket waits.
When something breaks, nobody knows where.
A sync fails silently, and you find out when a customer asks.
Some steps need a person, so the whole process stays manual.
One approval in the middle keeps everything around it from being automated.
Use cases
Popular Salesforce automations teams build first
Start from one of these, or describe your own to Copilot.
Closed Won to invoice to team alert
When a deal closes in Salesforce, create the QuickBooks invoice and tell the team in Slack.
New customer onboarding
When a HubSpot deal closes, open a Jira onboarding task and email the customer.
Lead research with AI
When a new Lead comes in, an AI step finds their LinkedIn profile and saves it on the Lead. Copilot builds it from one sentence.
Approvals that keep moving
A refund over $5,000 waits for the finance team, then the flow continues on its own.
Nightly file import
Pick up a CSV from SFTP, update Salesforce records, then delete the file.

Build Salesforce flows with AI, templates or a visual canvas
-
Write what you need in plain words. Copilot adds the steps, connects them in order and names each one. It also tells you what’s left to do, like an account you still need to connect.
-
Pick a ready-made flow, click Use, and customize it in the editor.
-
Each step is a circle, and each line shows where the data goes next. Copy, cut or insert steps, and name each version you save.
-
Click + next to any field to pick values the flow already has, like the customer name from Salesforce. Need a different format? Add a modifier for text, lists, dates or conditions, or JavaScript if you want it.
Human approvals
Keep a person in the loop when it matters.
Some decisions shouldn’t be automatic. A flow can pause, create a task for the right person with a deadline, and email them. Once they approve or reject, the flow continues down that path.
- Approver, title and deadline on every task
- Email notice, no need to log in to check
- See what you need to approve and what you requested
ExampleFor a loan, the credit check and KYC run on their own, then an analyst signs off.
Run history
See every run, step by step.
Logs show when each flow started and stopped, what each step received and returned, and where something failed.
- Errors, successes and info at a glance
- Filter by time range and by flow
- Search, for example
severity: error
Start from Salesforce
Trigger flows from Salesforce Flow, record changes or Apex
Add the Edge Connect action to a Salesforce Flow, start a flow when a record changes, or call it from Apex. Your team keeps working in Salesforce.
- Salesforce Flow: pass the record that started it. Fields are recognized on the first run.
- Record changes: a flow starts on its own when a record changes.
- Apex: call the Edge Connect class with a JSON body and the flow ID.

FAQ
Salesforce automation questions, answered
Still have a question? Talk to our team, or read the Get started guide.
Who is Edge Connect for?
Salesforce teams: admins, RevOps, operations and finance ops people who need Salesforce to work with their other tools without waiting for a developer.
How is Edge Connect different from Salesforce Flow?
Salesforce Flow automates work inside Salesforce. Edge Connect connects Salesforce with your other systems, like QuickBooks, HubSpot, Jira or Slack. The two work together: a Salesforce Flow, a record change or Apex can start an Edge Connect flow.
Can I test a flow before it goes live?
Yes. Test Flow runs it again with the data from its last real run, and test runs don’t count toward your plan. When it works the way you want, turn it on.
What happens when a step needs a person?
The flow pauses and creates a task for the right person, with a deadline. They get an email, approve or reject, and the flow continues down that path.
How many apps can I connect?
200+ connectors are available, from CRM and finance tools to AI and file storage. If a system isn’t listed, you can call its API with the built-in utilities, or ask us for a custom connector. Browse all integrations.
How much does Edge Connect cost?
Edge Connect is $49 per user per month on AppExchange, and nonprofits get a discount. You can start with a free trial. See the AppExchange listing.
